On May 4, 2009, NBC announced Life would not be returning for a third season, which was indeed a heart break for many fans of this TV program.
Life is basically a US police drama television program; created by Rand Ravich that aired for two seasons on NBC. It was produced by Universal Media Studios under the supervision of executive producers Rand Ravich, Far Shariat, David Semel, and Daniel Sackheim. Semel also directed the pilot.
The series starred Damian Lewis as Charlie Crews, a detective released from prison after serving twelve years for a crime he did not commit. Life premiered with season 1 on September 26, 2007 on NBC and aired on Wednesday nights at 10 E/P. It was a much liked series.
Rand Ravich explained that the concept of show Life came initially from his own long-standing interest in and a desire to work on the police procedural show. Ravich first created the character of Charlie Crews as the basis for the show; upon the completion of the script, he immediately considered actor Damian Lewis for the role.
Immense of efforts were put in for the beginning of this project and it was successful too but Ravich is not planning to make it a repeatable series for the next year.

Hey guys! Now that is confirmed that Life TV show has been cancelled, its time to ponder over the reasons that led to this decision. Well, perhaps if we are honest to ourselves, we don’t have to think much as we already know that the series was not doing as well as some people would like us to believe. And hence, it was natural that the network decided to cancel the show that did not seem to be attracting many audiences.
It is not that I did not like the TV show Life, but then I am not one of those who is afraid to confront the truth. I was a huge fan of the show and I specifically loved its premise about a convicted though innocent cop, who returns to work for the LAPD. I loved the way Damian Lewis portrayed the character of this convicted cop, Charlie Crews. Frankly speaking, I am so impressed by his histrionics on the show that I have become his fan for the lifetime.
But this does not in any way diminish the fact that the show had been going on a downward spiral, rating wise. Even though at the time of its debut, Life managed to garner 10.15 million viewers and a 4.1/11 rating/share with the audience aged between 18-49, this trend did not continue for long and the later episodes had only 5.72 million viewers and a 2/6 rating/share. However, Life managed to survive the axe then as the executives at the network decided to give another chance to the show.
But sadly, the situation worsened in the season 2 and the executives were left with no option other than canceling Life. After all, we fans need to understand that the networks run a business and poor ratings means bad business which forces them to cancel a show, however much they might not want to.
But the best thing is that we can use this website to not only download but also watch episodes of Life online, anytime and anywhere.
